Most Important Person – Lyrics
I want two cars in the garage of my house in the suburbs
with some kids in the garden and a pool in the backyard
Respectable job, pretty wife in the kitchen
And sex when I want it
Neighbours who are friendly and won’t get in my way
They’ll come over for bbq’s and our kids will go to play
I’ll always have fine clothes to wear and good food to eat
And I will be the envy of the whole damn street
Cos I’m the most important person in the world
People come round knocking on my door for charity
I say if I look out for them who’ll be looking out for me
I block my ears to preachers who say I’m doing wrong
My mother always told me ‘son look out for number one’
Cos you’re the most important person in the world
I’m bored with the homeless hungry sick and aged
You know it’s not my fault that they got that way
Hard times for everyone they’re going to get worse
It’s a jungle out there you gotta put yourself first
