Sometimes I feel so sorry for you God
When I see the fools that you’ve got on your side
If I were you I’d strike them down
Yeah that’s what I would do If I were God?
They blame you for everything that goes wrong
Even when it’s nothing to do with you
Does it make you sad or angry
I’d get mad if they did it to me If I were God?
If I were God I’d pull down the walls
Of racism hatred lust and greed
If I were God I’d find the lost
Even when they tried to hide from me
Don’t you think I’d do a better job
If I were God?
I can’t see why the world is like it is God
I’m sure I wouldn’t make it quite like this
I think I’d be tempted to start again
Maybe I wouldn’t make men If I were God?
Would I have the patience to watch mankind
Destroy my creation while hardly trying
Could I just forget all the things they’d done
Would I let them kill my son If I were God?
If I were God you’d be so happy
As you all bowed down to worship me
If I were God I’d be a dictator
Like Hitler or Caligula
Don’t you think I’d do a better job
If I were God?
